Dallas McPherson gets ready to play third as a late-innings defensive replacement for Robb Quinlan, who was in the game to face a lefty. (Quinlan went 1-3.) McPherson was like a statue on a couple of groundballs, one of which rocketed past him, but another wasn't hit all that hard and he just watched it go by. He can be so very good... and then he can be so very bad.
