J.R. House was a fifth-round draftee by the Pirates, who look like they ditched him after a pair of cups of coffee in 2003 and 2004. House had a hard time staying healthy, and was cut from the Pirates' 40-man roster in spring training of 2005 following yet another injury. The Astros are not so stupid, and he's starting hot with a .333/.392/.487 line.
