Profiling mainly as a reserve, Tommy Murphy is an example of what happens when prospects right themselves. Repeating a year in AA seems to have quelled the worst of his swing-and-misstitude; for the first time in four years, he didn't strike out more than 100 times. Now on the 40-man, he's scheduled to start in Salt Lake. In a system as thin on outfield help as the Angels' is, he could possibly be battling Nick Gorneault for a bench job in 2007.
